Jo went on a volunteer trip to San Ramon in Costa Rica during May 2007. She was one of a team of six (four women, two men) from Grant Thornton UK LLP who made the trip to help with house building for local families. The work was sifting sand, plastering, concreting, digging the septic tank pit, etc. The house (pictured above) was finished bar painting, windows and final plumbing when they left. A ‘once in a lifetime’ experience for sure!

Fortunately they also had some leisure time too for sightseeing as you can see from these photos below!
